From what I've heard, HBO is doing a series called "Luck" that is presently filming at Santa Anita. Nick Nolte and Dustin Hoffman are learning about trainers, jockeys, and racing. Actual post parades and actual races will be included. This sounds absolutely great, and I wish I had HBO. Since "Jockeys" is no longer aired at Animal Planet, this is great media attention. Some of the actors actually got to mount some horses for re-enacted post parades.

Thanks for the heads up about NBC's coverage. Ugh! I will definitely be tuning into HRTV!

Rider 77: Inside Information is a segment of HRTV and can probably be viewed on their website or on you tube under HRTV to see the entire 1/2 hour show.

Do you know if KET will ever offer the doc on DVD? The trailer is wonderful! If the entire film is as good then I want one! Thanks for the link.

I watched Swale. It was beautiful. However, with so much credit given to Secretariat as the building block of the stables, a one phrase sentence on Swale's actual sire did not do justice to Seattle Slew.

One interesting note was that they could always find Swale because he slept and snored quite loudly. In humans, that ultra-loud snoring (so throw me into that group) is a signal of a possible undisclosed heart condition.(but this is from more recent medical findings.)
