Thanks Adam for putting this up on our boy. He is well loved by all the kids here, and has a puppy dog attitude. He's a big solid boy as you all know, but knows when there is a kid on the other end of the lead! I'm on facebook, and he's already got his photo gallery there, and of course his blog. We are heading him towards a career in jumping, and junior field master chases with the girls, since he likes the scenery and the cross country!

Great news for a fine old horse. Makes me glad there are still good folks out there looking over our beloved equine atheletes! May Arrrrrr have a wonderful,stressless retirement!

Wow... I had no idea where this horse was, I watched one race where Tom Durkin called... glad Arrrrr has a nice retirement, and an easier barn name!

It was so wonderful to hear about Arrrrr finding his forever home. It sounds as if he is now owned by people who love him very much-also sounds as if he has a great new home. He will have many happy years in Maryland. Wouldn't it be nice if all retired horses could find a home like this.

Adam, that is such a wonderful story and I'm so glad Arrrrrr has a new forever home. It's great when all the pieces fall into place like that and his adoption takes place so easily. Thanks for letting us know. Oh, and I love the new barn name - lol!

Great to hear that Arrrrr is retired and to a great home. Never will forget this horse and Tom Durkin's gleeful calls. Never has there been a horse with a name an announcer could have so much fun with. Heck, all the guys at the simulcast parlor in York, PA would growl ARRRRRR during his races. Arguably one of the most famous and least accomplished horses ever to run on a racetrack. Just loved hearing that he's OK.

How wonderful! When I saw him listed in that caiming race, my heart just sank. But good things can happen and this was a good thing. Blessings to the owner.
