rule impressed me this past weekend i think he has everything i look for in a horse i would put him at the top of my derby sheet at this point. but i realize we have several races to go i also like super savor i have noticed a pattern the past few years the horses that have done well at churchill. seem to do well in the kentucky derby. One thing i forgot about preparing for last years derby was to look to see what horse was training. Mind that bird was training at churchill. i like looking at lucky but something about california horses don't seem to do well on dirt. I don't know what it is but they just don't seem to do well i hope he changes that preseption. I also like buddy saint as the fourth choice. its funny talking about the derby twards the end of Febuary because we still have two months to go. any thing can happen.

Ah, yes, William's "Ki'en"

Shrimp Dancer is a personal favorite of mine too, simply because of his compelling name. He also happens to be a decent racehorse!

I agree, not a lot of standouts this year... last year we had to pick between a lot of very seemingly equally talented horses from all areas of the country...but look who won! So, you never know.

Lentenor looks promising. Don't know if he'll be ready for the Derby, but if he stays sound and healthy he could be a very nice racehorse. Loved the way he burst away from the pack on the final turn in his last race.

I am cheering for Lentenor. If he doesn't make it to the Derby I would like to see him in the P & B to finish what big bro started:)

I like Ron the Greek and Jackson Bend and Maximus Ruler...so far. Time will tell...and there's lots of that until May. I always loved Rock Hard Ten, and have been following his progeny...(and that's not easy because there are so many...what a stud). Please keep us well informed on those babies...what a shame to lose The Mailet.

The contenders list seems rather thin this year so i think most lists will be similar, just in a different sequence. IMO, no standouts yet. The more i watch the stretch runs of Tiz Chrome's 2 races, the more i'm leaning to him. I've created my own top 10 list here - www.tbredjkie.co.cc/index.php and would appreciate comments on it.
