Good news!

Arrrrr's trainer at Penn National - Mike Salvaggio - just retired him. The horse was vet scratched in a $4,000 claimer at Penn National on May 1. He was telling them he didn't want to be a race horse any more, and they listened.

The new owner - Stacy Hindt - had been following the horse, got in touch with the trainer over the weekend. A lot of fans from Saratoga - fans still remember Tom Durkin's classic call - across the Northeast were following the story.

Arrrrr arrived at his new home in Elkton MD yesterday. She's given him the barn name "Captain Morgan" and everybody's thrilled.

Adam, I'm glad Jedi Code is back, but I didn't realize Arrrr was going through the claiming ranks backward. That's so sad. Would love to read soon that your group did claim him. It would not surprise me in the least if there isn't a lot of money put on First Dude and Game On Dude just because of the coolness of their names. Why not? Thanks for making me smile.
