As well as Arrrrr's most recent race.

re: Dude, it's a hunch

Good news!

Arrrrr's trainer at Penn National - Mike Salvaggio - just retired him. The horse was vet scratched in a $4,000 claimer at Penn National on May 1. He was telling them he didn't want to be a race horse any more, and they listened.

The new owner - Stacy Hindt - had been following the horse, got in touch with the trainer over the weekend. A lot of fans from Saratoga - fans still remember Tom Durkin's classic call - across the Northeast were following the story.

Arrrrr arrived at his new home in Elkton MD yesterday. She's given him the barn name "Captain Morgan" and everybody's thrilled.

More on Alex Brown's site - great adoption day pictures - forums.delphiforums.com/.../messages - under horse racing.

Arrrrr's new blog - arrrrrjourney.blogspot.com

Thanks to Mike Salvaggio and all the folks who brought Arrrrr through his racing career, then retired him when it was best for the horse. Wishing Arrrrr - Captain Morgan - well in his new career!
