Remember, these are just for the Royal Enclosure and the Grandstand. The Silver Ring, where we peasants hang out, without access to the paddock or walking ring, is much less stringent about what to wear; although even there, some like to get 'all duded up' in their best anyway.

Oh, the grandeur of Royal Ascot. It's more than high style, pomp & circumstance. It's tradition that has not outworn its welcome. It's a coming out party for man & beast. No one complains & everyone gets in the spirit of it all. Even the horses have a twinkle in their eye.
