Tincture of time heals a lot of problems and whatever was bothering her then isn't now.

That said, it is a sad day for Thoroughbred racing when a four-race season can win you a championship. When Cicada won championships back in the '60s. She went to the post 16 time at 2, 17 times at 3, and eight times at 4 in her championship years. I I guess 50 years of selective breeding, modern veterinary medicine and drugs, including Lasix, have done wonders for the breed. I wish some smarter than me could explain it.

That was a fast mile at Ellis, with that odd 1 1/2-turn mile on dirt. Groupie Doll ran 2 strong races back-to-back off the long layoff.

I'm biased, but she is nothing short of fabulous. Class all day long. She is the Adrian Peterson of sprinters, male or female.
