I lost my sister at age 52 to breast cancer. Now I am also fighting the disease. I can tell you the first thing I did after completing my treatment was to go to the barn to spend time with my horses(the greatest healers in the world). Bless you Trish, I'm sure your mother is proud of you.

What an inspiring story. I lost my mother from breast cancer when she was just 56, and finding a cure is very near and dear to me. Kudos to Trish Regard for taking her efforts "to the mountains."

Beautiful article. In life there are many finish lines to beat and win, ironically the plight of disease and the horseracing industry have managed to go hand in hand-(read "Two Miracles Named Alex"), it is an old folk-lore that horses are therapeutic to people that are ill. I truly believe in it. A look into a racehorse's eyes is the same as touching the peak of a mountain. I hope her farm does well and she feels the wind from her mountains' soft kiss through life.
