Thank you for this wonderful story. I live in the Ozarks where Quarter Horses and Fox Trotters "rule" and I am one of the very very few people that use OTTBs for trail riding. I ride both English and Western. The TBs have been outstanding trail horses, and I'm glad to see this great PR story for how good they can be at any Western discipline. Good Job!

LOVE this story! Very cool, both from the standpoint of what these horses are used for in their second careers, and also how he went about getting some geldings off the track.

Thank you so much for the great story. I am so grateful to the people who give the Thoroughbreds a new life. For several years I read Blood Horse every day, and frequently commented. I had an opportunity to spend time with horses for a few years and lost interest in Thoroughbred racing. Recently I have visited Blood Horse a few times. Seeing this story made me so very happy. I wish I could personally thank all the people who find futures for Thoroughbred race horses. This story was so great, it made my day. I have always believed that Thoroughbreds would make great working ranch horses.

This story reminds me of a picture of Seabiscuit in the bio of him. The photo shows the Biscuit all tacked up with his owner on his back surrounded by cattle.
