HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Do you people even know what her record would be if she ran against real champion routers in Europe?

She fit the mile like a glove. That great kick of her would be but a stagger if she ran 10 furlongs or longer.

Goldikova is a great miler but that is a class lower than a top router.

The little engine that could. So glad to know she is staying in training, as is Gio Ponti. It has been so depressing with all the recent retirements, so many; and yet here she is, the best horse and not retiring. How ironic. And, her groom running down the track was so inspiring and full of raw emotion and uninhibited exhiliration...now that was some great publicity to showcase on national television that horseracing is fun for everyone and you don't have to bet to enjoy the racing.

He is a beast and he could of ran around the track again he is light years ahead of the other horses! Its sad that breeders cup juveniles never pan out in the derby but mo is the man! GOldy was also impressive when the announcers said her comes goldy I was like where??? Then in a blink of an eye she romped a very good turf field like they were standing still! Goldy has afterburners on her feet and agree that she is the best Mare of all time hands down!

I was expecting JV to dismount and was surprised and disappointed when he went into the gate. Life looked sick as a dog. You're right-everyone that had the info that could make a decision was at fault. No one wanted to make a decision for fear of being criticized probably. Everyone acted like it was a tough call. It was an easy call. JV and Pletcher are most at fault because they know the horse, and know that there was something wrong. There was something very wrong. Lesson learned I hope. Same with the turf condition early Saturday. Horse racing is life and death. You have to learn from mistakes.

It's human nature to revel in the favorite's limelight- but that horse did something right to win. Blame Breeder's Cup Winner, end of story.

Yes,QR wasn't himself, but tell me I'm far off the mark when I state if Zenyyatta were running on three legs half the people on this blog wouldn't see it as a problem?

Your post of 15 Nov 8:10pm was very levelheaded and insightful. It makes a lot of sense, that is, QR coming up short for want of a prep race leading up to a 10 furlong race after a nine week freshening. Perhaps that's it. I still don't think that he's ineffective at the Classic distance based upon both his attempts at the distance last season, his awesome performances at 9 furlongs and his pedigree which is more stamina loaded than both Smarty Jones and Raven's Pass (sons of Elusive Quality that won big in the Kentucky Derby and Breeder's Cup Classic respectively).

Don't you agree that our discussion becomes more civil and rational when a certain mare is left out of it? Just an observation.

Pluck and the fillies! -- how soon before some of our 2YO's will be targetting the DARBY at Epsom instead of the DERBY at Churchill Downs?

I'm still in mourning from when Curlin didn't get to the Arc.

(and I'm sorry Australasian fans -- I like your races too but let's start with baby steps ... )

And yes, before anyone says it, I think Nobles Promise was noble and I LOOOVVVEE Wesley Ward and his 2YO's (plus Cannonball)
