Great to hear Georgie Boy is doing good! Looking forward to seeing him run again. I think the California horses got a bad rap this year and could have done much better if things had gone there way. Another horse I loved and could have been one of the best sprinters, may be a mile, was bob black jack, waiting to here if he will be back, huge fan of that horse, may not be a classic distance horse but great speed and and no quit in that horse. Also like Col. John ! I think if things had gone his way, would have been in the money derby.I'm sorry Big Brown will not be at S.A. I think Col.John is sitting on a HUGHE RACE ! and this all coming from a guy that lives just outside Louisville, Ky.

I'm so glad! He is such a pretty boy, and I LOVE his name! Without Big Brown next year, he might emerge as a top four year old. Maybe with Denis of Cork.

Good to hear he's on the road back. This horse could have made a ton of money this year being that the 3 yr old class is so weak. What a bad break to miss all those big purses for 3 yr old only races and with so little competition to have to beat.

Definitely a very talented horse. Hopefully he continues to develop and can be a force in the male handicap division next year & a horse to root for with the departure of Big Brown and almost certainly the departure of Curlin. It is a shame that he won't get a chance in this year's Classic, but he is a gelding so as Jason said, if healthy we'll get to see him for at least a few more years. He does love Santa Anita and the Classic is right back there again next year, so maybe we will get to see him in the BC Classic at Santa Anita after all. BC Classic '09, why not? Best of luck to the horse and his connections.

Another horse that has come back from injury several times in his career & should be added to the Evening Attire, Perfect Drift, and Lava Man file is Confucius Say. Confucius Say is a 10-year old Eastover Court (by Seattle Slew) gelding. He has won a stakes in almost every season he has raced. He has only run 30-35 times because he has missed whole years with injuries, but some how he keeps coming back. He won the Robert R. Hilton Memorial Stakes at Charles Town yesterday. Congratulations! I thought he deserved some recognition.

I am delighted to read this about Georgie! He was my Derby pick, too, before his injury. Many thanks to his connections for giving him the time and care to mend. I look forward to his career and hope he might come east at some point. Go Georgie!

I also liked his middle distance class, nice kick and you had to think he could turf with that kick...this could be one of the storybook Calbreds, with Georgie being a gelding...that's one nasty kick.....

Nice turn of foot in the San Felipe. I think he would have given Col John a run in the Santa Anita Derby. He loves Santa Anita and I look forward to seeing him in the Santa Anita Handicap!

Great interview and report, Jason! Thank you for sharing the news on Georgie Boy. I thought he was a good horse before his injury and I'm so glad they took great care of him so he can come back and run, hopefully, for many more years of our enjoyment.

Nice to see him on the comeback trail. Great job quiting on him and taking the time to get him right. That must have been a hard call to make.

Hey I noticed he gave a name to his gallup boy. None other than Mr.Ignacio Puglisi. He rode some winners for us in the early 90's. Nice guy working with it looks like nice connections. Great story Jason.

I can't wait to see him come back! Until he got hurt,and until Big Brown came along he was my Derby horse! I loved him and I'm sure he'll make him comeback a winning one!
