I tried to answer and thank you before, but I probably didn't push the submit button and left the Blog.......Yep, that's the one, one of the most bazaar and amazing finishes I have ever seen. I've seen horse get passed and come back again many times, but not like that. It was incredible. LOL and have a good one.

There is also his Flamingo win, and a win at two where he came from way out of it. I love watching him run. Abe's Hope then went on to beat Graustark in the Blue Grass as Graustark broke his leg in that race.

I saw an incredible race Buckpasser was in on YouTube. I think (I might be wrong without looking it up) that in this race, Buckpasser came from away back and took the lead near the top of the stretch (by at least a length), loped along and then was passed by I think it was Barb's Delight, who actually opened up a length and a half on him, and then Buckpasser decided that that was enough and took off again and turned what looked to be sure defeat into a marvellous victory. In many years of watching races I have never seen a horse come back in a situation like that. If you haven't seen it, it is probably on more than one YouTube sight if you go through them.......The only desperate finishes I can remember seeing in a N/A race that rivaled that were Personal Ensign in the Distaff (Winning Colors) and Zen's close in the Hirsch.

Zenyatta has never let a horse finish in front of her. Zarkava had never let a horse finish in front of her. Nothing went right for either of them in their last races, the BCC and the Arc respectively, but they still won as easy as they won their other races. That is what will make their legend. And it was nice of Mr Shirreffs to comment on one of Steve's blogs thanking all of Zenyatta's fans for their support and saying how much he, his wife and the Mosses appreciate it.

If they can't handle the truth, they don't need to blog, because blogs are opinions. Hang in there brother, they are not as knowledgable as you, laz, vic, and so many others are.
Thanks! I've been a strong supporter of Zenyatta from the beginning, not just this yr. Thanks for your support as well. Now that she's done, what many idiots felt was impossible, they want to spin and make excuses. So,it's a catch 22. She's a superhorse. Simon Bray of TVG stated after the race, she's one of the best he's ever seen. That's saying alot since as you probably he was asst. trainer to the great Cigar.

I read Steve's latest entry, and I must say it brought me to tears, He truly put all of Zenyatta's accomplishments on paper, I am a fan of RA too. but I give her the three year old campaign, she still has another year to prove herself, especially for longer distances and the BCC next year. She is not the strongest contender for HOTY this year because she has more to prove, Zenyatta doesn't, They just have to hope RA can follow in the queen's footsteps next year. I believe Zen will get the HOTY award this year, look how her career has ended, richest North American filly ever-makes HISTORY, only filly to ever compete in the Classic, and win it-makes HISTORY, she retires UNDEFEATED passing Personl Ensigns record-makes HISTORY again. I don't like the way JJ just plucked RA and ran her in four races just to make a name for himself, the Mosses and John Shirriffs care more for Zenyatta than a name for themselves, Yes,Footlick, I am a warrior for Zenyatta and I will be forever,Zenyatta ran an amazing campaign for two years one we may never see again.RA has another year to prove, she has done great for a three year old campaign like I said before. I compare RA to that of BB last year, and Zenyatta's to that of Curlin's . Zenyatta has alot of fans on these blogs I see, She has really opened up a can of worms by being so damn perfect this year and last year, and doing what Curlin couldn't do, winning the classic and being the first filly to ever do so. Look, I don't care how nasty RA fans want to get, it just shows they are getting fearful of the situation, of the awards. They know Zenyatta is gainging momentum every day. Good Day to you all.

If you read the comments to Haskin's post you will see that there really are a lot of Zenyatta supporters out there, and knowledgeable people too, not spur of the moment so-called racing fans......With regards to Rachel, I can see your point about her not being the second coming.......I have always felt that way and have been a staunch supporter of the Great Mare......However, I am serious when I say that if Rachel gets HOY, I won't feel offended......On paper anyway, she did have a rewarding season and as a horse, I really fell for her when she took all that punishment and abuse in the Woodward and came back to the winner's circle and you could see the strees flowing right out of her eyeballs......She is still a pretty good horse, but there is only ONE ZENYATTA, definitely a privilege to watch and one for the ages......hang in there pal.

Laz- I haven't read it, but I will right now. I have no hope though whether they will realize how great a thoroughbred Zenyatta is. They'd rather tout a 3 yr old who had to be whipped to death in the last two races. Zarkava was never whipped once and Goldikova couldn't warm her up. Both of them are lengths better than RA. Sorry, but it is true.
