Also thought Mystical Plan was an overlay--she certainly fit CLASSWISE and she was screaming for less diatance--"Cal Bred" sometimes gets you more $$ back East...also thought Tizdejavu's American Derby was so-so, also think Tizdejavu's best distance is ONE MILE and think he's a major player in the BC Mile...also think Curlin handles turf but his Man'O'War was a bounce....would love to see Big Brown try the big guns on grass cuz he has the quickening of a top turf horse...there are some really good horses out there right now...Frankel and Sherrifs have top mares...Curlin's taking on all-comers.....Brownies got to'n'gonna prove it....Tizdejavu's startin' to look like a poormans Lure...Heatseeker's having a horse-of-year season in his own right...Benny The Bull is for REAL--as is Headly's sprinter I believe...Methinks Big Brown will win the Horse Of Year by beating Heatseeker in BC Classic---methinks Headly gets a BC winner and Ginger Punch gets #2...Tizdejavu can wire'em in the mile IF they plan for that--and shorten him up right now--come on out and prep at Oak Tree or wherever, but prep vs elders at a mile--lose maybe, then it's on to BC stardem at 10-1 odds!!

Even though Curlin lost I'm pretty sure he's still Arc bound because I read a story where Asmussen said that he just wants Culin to finish in the money.

With you all the way on HG Motion's warrior Better Talk Now-- long a fixture in my "Virtual Stable", with now 46 some odd starts and winnings over $4M, this guy is a classic-- need more like him. Also, what with Buckpasser showing up twice in the genes on top of the pedigree, what's not to like on that score as well.

And just think: Motion has been able to keep this Boy going happy and strong without 'roids. Maybe the fact he is NOT your typical four-legged chemical factory has contributed to him still having fun and run at what is it now, a 9 YO? A tribute to breeding and training-- great job by HG Motion's entire Fair Hill, MD-based team at Herringswell Stable.

Thank you everyone ! Yes Mystical Plan got me started and I really cashed on Red Rocks going off at 6 to 1... I hit the pick 4 at Calder for 441 x 5 and hit the Belmont DD so it started off shaky ...but soon caught fire!!! I think now people will see Mystical Plan as a true sprinter.

Jason, Just happy in the real world I stuck with my 7/7 pick on Mistical Plan. The buddies took my bet for me, $50 across the board on Dougie, a couple of exactas on the Plan and my late comer the Miss and what was with that Trifecta payoff, nice little chunk of change. Didn't have the super though no fourth pick in mind and wasnt' going with the RD filly. My buddies are trustworthy so I actually got the bucks. My broken bones feel better already. But Man of Danger, my namesake must have been feeling my pain, didn't run a lick. Benny was the obvious but just couldn't make myself do it.

Just a comment on the article "Red Rock rolls by Curlin in the Man'O'War". Red Rock never rolled by Curlin as Curlin was never in front of Red Rock. Just an observation. Kind of like the article I read not to long ago where the writer spoke of Smarty Jones being a small, but tough "black" colt. Just poking fun.

How about Better Talk now? What a drive.. just a little late. He was rolling at the end. Curlin got beat so I am thinking that will change their plan of attack on the Arc. Curlin is still awesome and exciting to watch. Red Rocks was cruising and not to be caught today. Gotta love Proud Spell.

Carla on the first BC blog made the comment about not knowing how to handicap, sometimes you let your heart rule your head, I was Mistical Plan all the way since days ago, jumped off at the last second on an emotional decision on the board at least anyway, had the first two in the race. Wow just watched Curlin run 2nd. So anyway Carla if you're still reading just jump in and have fun, no one will rip you if you don't pick a winner. Just enjoy it.

I know everyone will be watching the Dream Rush vs Miraculous Miss contest but you may miss the winner. Mistical Plan !!! No horse in the field has been in as many graded stakes races as Mistical Plan and she has never lost at the distance. Back when we she had just turned 3 she won the Sunshine Oaks posting a 88 Beyer.

This year she ran on Poly, Turf, and a mile and a 16th. 6 furlongs on dirt could be her calling... watch out!

Jason, you went astray when you left the Man of Danger, Benny will probably win but maybe an exotic in real life? As for Derby us handicappers will bet on anything won't we Jason? Let me know if he takes the bait er I mean bet. I still hope for Mistical Plan over Dream Rush what's the weather like down there though?

Derbyme: Good picks, but you are sadly mistaken if you think Miraculous Miss will go off at lower odds than Dream Rush. She hasnt won since '06. Care to wager on that one?
