I never had a doubt. When he pulled away and seemed to gallop home I said to myself I think I am witnessing one of the greatest horses of our generation! Congratulations to all those connected with this amazing animal.

Watched the race live on TV but got nervous about 30 minutes before post time (just as I did years ago watching Forego). What a magnificent horse who I hope will defend his World Cup triumph next year. Racing needs its heroes and he's one in spades.
