With Curlin's victory in Dubai, it only cemented Rags to Riches stature as a broodmare. I knew she had class. I can't wait to see what she produces. As a pipedream, I'd love to see what Rags to Riches would produce if bred to Forty Niner.

As good as Curlin is - and that is very good - it reminds one how great a filly Rags to Riches is and what a monumental effort it took for her to win the Belmont over this guy.

We can only pray that Curlin stays in training. What an outstanding performance. Asmussen has now exceeded Pletcher as America's premier trainer.

I prayed for Curlin to come out of the race ok, and for a blog like this to wrap the whole thing up with a van ride in the night with a hope of a champion for all of us horse lovers and casual viewers,. Curlin is a hero for the US.

You really showed us how proper preparation and shear God given talent can make us so happy and proud, Keep up the good work! Congats YOU ROCK!!!
