Ken was the kind of owner trainers dream of- knowledgeable, loyal, fun to be around with contagious enthusiasm.

I met Ken at my Pub in Saratoga many years ago;and immediately felt a bond with him and his family. When I expressed an interest in "always wanting a horse named for my business; he said "we can do it!" we will breed a horse to be called The Parting Glass!" And so, our friendship grew and extended to many years at many racetracks. His friends in Saratoga are saddened and will miss him.....

A fantastic article Jack. Ken's ability to reach out to all sectors of horse racing is what makes this game the greatest of all. You don't need a fortune to enjoy this game. Just a love for the horses and remembering this is the toughest game of any sport to predict.
