It turned out to be an adventure that will no doubt be vividly remembered by all three of us for years to come.

re: Storm Song - By Linda Dougherty

My first visit to Churchill was as a child of eight. The staff was great then and over four decades later, the staff is still great. All racetrack people understand how to overcome when stuff goes wrong, because stuff goes wrong everyday and the horse race runs anyway.

Thanks for that fantastic, detailed account of the events that day! I was quite touched to hear how wonderful the Chuchill staff was to you all. I'm so glad it all worked out--you have a great story to retell through the years!

Kudos to the Churchill Staff on their hospitality. I have been to the Derby Museum three times. Other than that , while not the original plan, your memories will be life lasting. Nice to hear Churchill team took great care of you and were so hospitable. As you know I'm a northeasterneer like you and as my own daughter heads of to Louisville for college it's nice to know "the locals" put people (and of course the horses)first !
