Divine Escapade's brother, a spectacular chestnut colt, has been named California. He is just really gorgeous and what a pedigree they both have with Secretariat on both sides!

Trebloc- You are misinformed. Out of over 69,000 dufferent hoirses to race in N America in 2010, just 19 earned over $ 1mil. And 81 of 34,048 licensed owners earned over $ 1 mil. (Equibase) The backbone of this industry are the small scale owners, breeders and trainers. Without the people who have horses running 10k claimers, 15k allowances, the vets, farriers, hay suppliers would all be broke. While nthe big spenders get articles like these written about them, it's the little guys that keep this industry afloat. Please give their just acknowledgements.

michele, I agree but then what's really in a name?? After all, Stymie and Hoop, Jr did OK with their monikers, and Lil E Tee wasn't half bad, either (even though the name left LOTS to be desired). AND, even though we couldn't pronounce it we recognized the talent.......remember Arcangues?But, we also have to remember The Green Monkey, whose name apparently hexed him with a vengeance. Ah, well, how about Carrot Breath as an alternative??

The Distorted Humor half sister to Point Given really caught my eye at the sale. She's a wonderfully conformed filly and appeared to have an alert, inquisitive temperament. Hopefully all goes well and she will fulfill her potential on the track. Thanks for the update on these babies.
