As it is yearling sales time, I have a blog idea that I hope you will give some consideration. If a breeder/consignor has a yearling who looks solid on pedigree, great conformationally, has no physical issues or they have been taken care of - does height really matter? I would love to see a perspective from today's trainers, owners, breeders and consignors, to see if they all agree that it matters or it is not important if everything else is great. In light of all the major graded stakes races being won by horses of smaller stature more often than not, it would seem like it is only of concern to pinhookers as they have been conditioned to think that big is always the way to go. They've really beefed up the catalogs this year. Never had an Indy in July before. Also, look at all those Storm Cats, Indys, and Bernardinis at Saratoga. Could be the first indication that the new ownership is having an impact on the consignments.

Well, these are some mighty nice horses here. Guess, I will issue an IOU for 374,310 and 316 hip numbers... should be nice horses...anything AP Indy is nice then throw in Carson City and its all WOW....If, If ands and butts were candy and nuts we would all have these wonderous horses.....
