&lt;p&gt;To be fair I don&amp;#39;t think tearing a suspensory is a sign of genetic weakness. Ghostzapper having only one winner (a stakes winner, yes, but one winner nonetheless) this late in the year is probably more a cause for worry in the commercial market, but let&amp;#39;s see how his first crop does next year. I do admit to being skeptical of his overall success as a sire because of he was so fragile, though.&lt;/p&gt;

Doesn&amp;#39;t bode so well for her as far as soundness issues go. Breeders continue to breed to unsound stallions, with unsound mares. No wonder horses physically just dont&amp;#39; hold up like they used to. I would never buy a horse based on bloodlines if I had any suspicions about soundness. There is nothing worse than a horse breaking down. &lt;/p&gt;
