&lt;p&gt;Since 1982 some 28,000 horses worth over $4.5billion have been exported from the US to Europe - I sincerely doubt the same numbers went in the opposite direction.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;No is suggesting that European racing is 100% drug free, but at least it is not legal to race horses on steriods and other &amp;quot;medications&amp;quot; in Europe.&lt;/p&gt;
