The Ladies' Classic is shaping up to be a great race.I'm glad Chad Brown's trainee, Awesome Feather, arrived in good shape. I wonder if she wins the Ladies Classic this year if she win an Eclipse Award. This is especially thrilling as the Eclipse Awards will at Gulfstream Park. I hope that you get to meet with Awesome Feather. I have a great relationship with this special filly; I have wonderful stories to tell each time I have seen in the paddock and in the show ring.

And she is not only sweet and awesome, she has an amazing pedigree; she has Princequillo twice from her dam's side.

It was pretty obvious from the get-go what O'Neill's strategy was. Richard's Kid has not been able to beat the Dude fair and square so he'll try to soften him up with Mikey.

Sounds as though you're in Santa Anita, and hopefully safe from the nasty girl, Sandy. The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic would all prefer to be in California today. Great news about the horses who have safely arrived for the BC. Our wishes and prayers are for the safe arrival of all.

I like Doug's strategy - reminds me of Frank Whiteley's use of a rabbit to tire out the Doctor - but I'm not sure Richard's Kid is up to the task. He could hit the board, but I just cannot see him winning the race on SA's hard surface. Too bad the race isn't at DelMar....

Thanks for the update; glad to know they made it safely. Hope you can keep us posted regarding the remaining horses and their journey. With everything else going on with the storm I guess most people would discount news such as this but we're concerned about these defenseless animals and are relieved to learn that things seem to be going well. I hope that your family/friends/etc back East have weathered the situation successfully and have minimal damage to hearth and home & self.

Awesome Feather in the Ladies Classic, and many upsets on are on the horizon. My prediction is to predict the unpredictable this year.......so many tough races.
