OK KIDS, iam looking waaayyy ahead in my crystal ball here , 2014 horse of the year WILL TAKE CHARGE ,he is nowhere near as good as hes gonna be and that in a word is SCARY !

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Will Take Charge just showed us again in the Clark what a good horse he truly is, which makes Mucho Macho Man's win even more impressive. Moochie was one tough horse to hang on to win the BCC against Will Take Charge. He has a ton of heart.

I have had the privilege of meeting Mucho, Finn, Kathy, Gary and Mr. & Mrs. Reeves, what a class group of individuals! Finn has the greatest knowledge of breeding than any other person I have known. I am absolutely delighted for them all.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing my father's story. I have never been more proud to be his daughter. I have watched him try to be happy in other career paths, and I have always known, even as a child, that he would never be happy with a job unless it was in the horse business. His/our personal struggles are something a lot of people can relate to, but many do not believe they are able to be overcome without people like my father sharing them in such a public light. Thank you again for telling it in such a poignant and touching fashion.

Susan, you are so right about seeing Steve on t.v. at the BCC. I felt like I was seeing a friend on t.v.

Steve, we will have to disagree:). You are in my Laura Hillenbrand and David McCullough category of writers. You weave your stories so beautifully and it is as if we have known the principle characters all our lives by the time the story ends. That is a true gift that many writers don't have. You find the humanity in everyone, even the horses LOL. It is no wonder people are willing to talk to you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and to all the bloggers here.

You mentioned that if/when 'they' do a movie based on MMM's story, you would be involved in the script writing. Now you have another whole piece to fit in! But we all have faith that you can do it and we will be lining up at the box office.

Steve, your best gift, in my opinion, is getting people to open up to you, trust you with their real feelings and capture those feelings with an amazing bunch of letters on a page of paper. As a former turf writer, I always found people in the horse game to be generally careful around the media. Getting more than a one-word answer from Frank Whiteley, Jr. for example never happened for me. Yet, you are able to pull stories out of people while others get "no comment". That's why I'm thankful this holiday season for you and your extraordinary ability to bring the public inside the shedrow, where some of the most amazing stories are just waited to be told.
