There was a tie for the top price among First-Year stallions between a filly by Lion Heart and a colt by Speightstown which each brought $475,000 (the overall top-seller at the sale was a filly by Silver Deputy that brough a final bid of $520,000).

14 horses each breezed an eighth of a mile in :10, 6 of these were by first-year sires. Included among these is Hip#33, a colt by Friends Lake out of the stakes-producing mare, Incredible Me.

The OBS Selected Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training is on February 12th (with the Under Tack Shows on Feb. 3 and 10). First-year stallions are well represented here.
