Trifecta King tries to be Cinderella

Trifecta King (filly; Peace Rules - Mamita by Unbridled) coming off a 2nd place finish in her only start on May 15, will try stakes company in the Cinderella Stakes at 5.5 furlongs at Hollywood on May 25. Trifecta King sold for $10,000 as a yearling and $45,000 as a 2-year old. Her dam is a half-sister to Church Service who is grade II-placed and most recently (on March 29, 2008) finished 2nd in the Tokyo City Handicap. 

One other maiden in the race, Makasi (Indian Charlie - Floral Bounty by Pirate's Bounty) finished 3rd in her only start, 4.5 Maiden Special Weight at Hollywood Park on April 30. Makasi is out of a winning Pirate's Bounty mare and is a half-sister to 3 winners. 

The most experienced runner in the race is Call Aly (Nineeleven - Catchthecat by Crafty Prospector) who has started 5 times, winning 1 and finishing 2nd 3 times. One of her 2nd place finishes came on April 30 where she finished behind Upper Manhattan (Unbridled Time - Tarpon Princess by Image of Greatness) who has also been entered in the Cinderella. Upper Manhattan is out of a winning dam who has produced 8 winners from 9 to race. Upper Manhattan has the same record as the remaining entries in the Cinderella, 1 win in 1 start.

Toxaway (filly; Congaree - Doradoradora) worked 3 furlongs at Lone Star Park recording a time of :37.20. Toxaway, who sold for $60,000 as a weanling, is out of a multiple-stakes winning dam who earned $590,350. I am still following Pleasently Perfect and Congaree. But I am not in a rush, althought they very well can become very good 2 year old sires I am waiting for 3 year olds and beyond.

At Fenway was listed sold at Barretts May $162,500. I like this one.
