The Slipper Fits

Trifecta King (filly; Peace Rules - Mamita by Unbridled) breaks her maiden in style, taking the Cinderella Stakes at Hollywood
Park in her second start, thus becoming Peace Rules' first winner. She sat behind the speed early and then exploded to win by daylight. Atka, who looked out of it for much of the race, closed nicely to take second. The final time of 1:03.49 compared favorably to the colt's version, the William L. Proctor Memorial Stakes, where the winner ran in 1:03.04.

Trifecta King was the star of the post parade bouncing and looking very happy out there.  The fans thought so too, she was the favorite when the gates opened. In contrast was She'smylittleman who looked like she just wanted to go home.

By the way, TVG asked the question we've been asking, why name a filly, "Trifecta King." But, they asked a minority owner and he didn't know for sure.  The best answer he had was that Trifecta Queen was taken.  Too bad they didn't get to ask about She'smylittleman.

Bellwether - Good point.  A good horse never has a bad name.
