S. S. Stone became the first winner for Birdstone with an impressive win at Hollywood. He just got up over Speight the Halo, who completed the Maiden Watch exacta.

A red-letter day for Maiden Watch as we had 3 starters and 3 winners including Collegiate, the first winner for Saarland. The other winners were Medaglia d'Onore (Medaglia d'Oro) and Cradle of Peace (Peace Rules). Also, Rapid Redux (Pleasantly Perfect) returns taking on 5 including Prolific (Medaglia d'Oro).

On June 17, I journeyed to River Downs to watch a Maiden debut of a different sort. Jessica Oldham Stitc, first graduate of Chris McCarron's North American Racing Academy was making her professional debut.
