Rule of Motion took the lead out of the gate, pestered by Australis Day. Rule of Motion blew the turn a bit in the mud, and let Australis Day take a brief lead. But, Rule of Motion was resilient and was drawing off again at the end. Overall, it was a merry-go-round race, little change in position throughout.

Needless to Say has Little to Say; During Deputy First Winner for During
Needless to Say took all the early money at the windows in this one (4-5 at first tick), but she wasn't much involved in the running as she finished 6th. Instead, this race was all about During Deputy who pressed the early pace and the scampered away to win by more than 6, becoming the first winner for During.

Himynameissarah Can't Catch Lady Countdown
I was a little critical of Himynamissarah's performance last time out, but no complaints today. Lady Countdown went right to the lead and just kept building on her lead. Sarah sat off the early pace and put in a good run, but there was no catching Lady Countdown. Sarah did not give up, however, and that's a good thing.

Tranquil Times Outfinished by Phosphorescent
Tranquil Times went right to the lead and looked like a winner, but he showed a reluctance to switch leads and tired, opening the door for Phosphorescent who had been lurking in 2nd. Just Like Biscuit and Investor outran their odds finishing 2nd and 3rd. Take the Points made up a lot of ground to take 4th, while Tranquil Times had to settle for 5th.

B B Sings the Victory Song
B B's Song dueled with Wise Imagination, pulled away from that one and drew clear. Safety Squeeze closed nicely to pick up second, while Wise Imagination hung around in third. Frosty Diamond and Promise Me Merlot were side-by-side for most of the race. Frosty ran evenly to take 4th, Promise Me Merlot tired to 6th.

Curly Runs Last in Paceless Race
Not much to say about this one. Curly never ran a step, trailed throughout. Riverside Rascal was allowed to set a painfully slow pace (what happened to the other pace in the race?). I knew Curly was in trouble when the first quarter was in 25 and change. Still, Cabazon managed to close. I'm for throwing out the race and giving Curly another shot.

Medaglia d'Onore Not Disgraced in Stakes Debut
Screen Your Friend went right to the lead, fought off General Quarters and then drew off. Lyin' Heart closed well to make a sizable dent in the final margin. Medaglia d'Onore was near the back early, made a big move on the turn, but couldn't sustain it. Considering he went off at 43-1, I thought his 5th place finish was very credible. The biggest mystery about this race is why Theregoesjojo went off as the even-money favorite. Yes, JoJo's maiden win was impressive, but it was just a maiden win. Wynning Pursuit Dances the Cha Cha
Wynning Pursuit jumped out the gate and that was pretty much end of story, as he continued to lengthen his lead throughout. Dance the Cha Cha was a little slow to get started, but he was swung wide and closed willingly. He was the only one gaining ground at the end and should improve next time out.
