New York bred Glory Gold (Medaglia d'Oro - Gayla by Lord Gaylord) debuts against her fellow New Yorkers at Belmont on July 9. Glory Gold, who sold for $190,000 as a weanling, is out of a winning dam who has produced 9 winners including grade III stakes winner Mocha Express, and stakes winner Raving Rocket. Three of Glory Gold's siblings won as 2-year olds.

Sneakin Up (Hook and Ladder - Tricky Move by Tricky Creek) and Justify (Alajwad - Celestial Touch by Montbrook) previously met on June 25 with Sneakin Up finishing 2nd and Justify 9th. Sneakin Up sold for $52,000 as a 2-year old and is out of a stakes winning mare who is the dam of 3 winners including stakes winner Multiplication. Justify is by freshman sire Alajwad whose 8 runners have made a collective 15 starts, registering 1 win, 1 second, and 3 thirds. Justify is the first foal out of an unraced mare who is a half-sister to 3 winners, one of which won as a 2-year old.

The other experienced horse in the race is Hookin the Goods (Hook and Ladder - Nazdarove by Trempolino) who finished 4th on June 12 at Belmont. Hookin the Goods was a $75,000 2-year old and she is out of the winning mare, Nazdarove. Nazdarove has produced 2 winners including Crosstown Traffic who was stakes-placed as a 2-year old.

Eager Emma (Unbridled's Song - Shawklit Mint by Air Forbes Won) sold for $220,000 as a yearling. Eager Emma's dam, Shawklit Mint won or placed in 5 stakes including a victory in the Vagrancy (gr. II), and earned $464,654. She has produced one winner (who was a 2-year old winner) from one to race.

Selling for $75,000 as a 2-year old was Warm Country (Northern Afleet - Ms Global Warming by Sultry Song). Warm Country's dam is a half-sister to two winners, including one who won as a 2-year old.

First-year stallion Johar is the sire of Special Detail (Johar - Special Tapestry by Theatrical (IRE)). Johar has had 7 runners, who have made a total of 8 starts, recording 1 second. Special Detail is the first foal out of the mare Special Tapestry who placed in two races and earned $11,420. Special Tapestry is a half-sister to 3 winners, 1 of which was a debut winner at 2. By Johar out of a Theatrical mare, I can't help but think Special Detail may be better suited for the turf.

The dam of Larcenous Lady (Cat Thief - Gift for the Lady by Pentelicus) was a winner of $47,298 who produced 2 winners from 2 to race, both of which won as 2-year olds.

Russian Holiday (Take Me Out - Lyuba by D'Accord) is a half-sister to 10 winners including stakes winner, Flag Pin.

More Oats Please (Smart Strike - Miss Yiayia by Gilded Time) is out of a stakes-placed dam who earned $175,970 and who has produced one winner from one to race. That winner, Ballymist, won as a 2-year old and has earned $97,328 through 2008.

Soave (Brahms - Cozzekiki by Cozzene) is a half-sister to stakes winner Love Co who has earned $89,131 through 2008.
