Tiger Rules at Delaware Park

Tiger Rules (Peace Rules) came out of the gate well and went right to the lead. He was moving very easily. The jockey took a peak behind on the turn, but there was no one coming. Macho Star did close well to pick up 2nd, while favored Meetmeatthechapel had to settle for third after coming wide.

Friesan Fires Over Zak

War Action was the early leader, but he was soon passed by heavy favorite Friesan Fire. Zak's in Town (Speightstown) was up with the leading group, in a good stalking position. He went after Friesan Fire, but was unable to catch him. He did, however, keep trying and the two of them were well clear of third place Hovig.

Pioneerof the Nile Cruises Over Lime Rickey

Into My Soul (Pleasantly Perfect) was a scratch. Too bad, as I wanted to see that one perform on the turf. Seattle Brew, Solidify, and Unbridle's Dream went after the early lead, with Bounissimo and Lime Rickey sticking close. It looked as though Lime Rickey would be the winner, if he could only find a way through on the inside. Instead, Pioneerof the Nile came rolling on the outside and took control in the stretch. Lime Rickey finally got free, but lacked punch and settled for 2nd. Also closing from way back was Hype, who grabbed the show spot.
