Don't Forget Gil, She's Prime for an Exclusive Scheme

All broke well except Don't Forget Gil, who was off slow. She's Prime and La Concerto battled early, but they were soon joined by favorite Imthequeenofqueens. Exclusive Scheme (Saarland) had a good spot on the rail and moved up from 5th to 3rd. However, she seemed to lose momentum when swung to the outside and went backwards through the field, finishing 6th. Up front, it looked like 1 of 4 or 5 could take it. Imthequeenofqueens hit the front, but Don't Forget Gil was eating up ground. Don't Forget Gil completed the first to last journey, as she hit the wire in front.

Bluegrass Princess Leaves Pearl of Valor and Verdant Behind

Lustful controlled the early pace, with True Bliss, who broke on top, tracking. After 6 furlongs, Lustful began to tire, as True Bliss inherited the lead. She didn't hold this long, however, as Bluegrass Princess, pounced and began to draw off. Nala's Pride and The Best Day Ever closed well for third and fourth. The two Maiden Watch runners, Pearl of Valor (Medaglia d'Oro) and Verdant (Pleasantly Perfect), raced in mid-pack and made up ground late, but couldn't penetrate the top placings.
