A Seismic Shift Affects Me You and Her and P. J.'s Canary
Jordan's Song took the early lead, pursued by Saint Brigid and Caffeine Free. P. J.'s Canary (Birdstone) secured a good spot on the rail in 4th. Me You and Her (Smarty Jones) was near the back early, but she started picking up some spots. Jordan's Song was still on the lead in the stretch, but Seismic Shift was starting to roll. At the same time, P. J.'s Canary was retreating and she ended up 11th, beating only one. On the other hand, Me You and Her was advancing and made it to fourth. Up front, Seismic Shift and Cafffeine Free battled late, with the former prevailing by a neck. Caffeine Free, the daughter of grade I winner Caffe Latte, was claimed out of the race.

Dating has the Speed to Leave Cottage Industry Behind
The race remained on the turf, so Saarlandisourland (Saarland) didn't make it in. However, the turf was less than firm, so Carnita, Christine's Design, Fiddlers Katami, One More Thing, and Sunny were scratched. Speed Dating jumped out of the gate and took the early lead. Cottage Industry (Saarland) was up close early while running greenly, but she soon retreated to the back of the pack, finishing 9th. Favorite Paraiba moved into 2nd, but there was no catching Speed Dating, who increased her lead down the stretch. Sychronicity ran evenly in third.

Not for Silver drew off to win by 4, but Clash of Arms was well clear of the fourth place horse. Run Smart One (Smarty Jones) run evenly in fifth the whole way round.
