Just Call Sarah a Winner

Conga Queen (Congaree) broke well and tried to get to the lead, but couldn't clear the field from her outside post. Instead, Himynameissarah (Saarland) was able to grab the lead from her inside post, and Conga Queen was back in third. Jimsturntogeteven was between these two in second. Conga Queen moved into 2nd and then went to the lead. But, Himynameissarah was not going away. She came back and took command again and was pulling away at the end. The rush to make the lead from the outside probably cost Conga Queen. On the other hand, the time off seemed to be beneficial for Himynameissarah.

Too Much Heat for Memom Lil

Wow. It looks as though Elusive Heat may have gotten mom Xtra Heat's speed. She went right to the lead, ticked off fractions of :22.19 and :44.95, and just kept pulling away. She did drift a bit in the stretch, but it was her first start, so a little greeness is expected. This is definitely one to keep your eye on. Dattts Lady Di chased for awhile and then retreated, finishing 7th. Sheikh's Serenade closed to get into 2nd, but was no threat to the winner. Memom Lil (Congaree) broke slow and lingered at the back of the pack, finishing 9th (last).

Dancer by Night gets a Pleasant Flight

Pleasant Flight (Pleasantly Perfect) broke well and went to the front from his rail spot. Formal Deputy and Scorpio Rising were keeping him company, and Phoenix Hotel was watching these in fourth. Formal Deputy gave up first, leaving Pleasant Flight and Scorpio Rising. Pleasant Flight pulled away from that one, but he tired in the stretch and the closers, Dancer by Night, Dark Corner, and Cat 'n Fiddle, swarmed by. It took a photo to divide Dancer by Night and Dark Corner, with Dancer by Night prevailing.

Jakes has Luck over Sugaree Gold

Floating On Air (Peace Rules) did not draw into the race off of the AE list. Sugaree Gold (Congaree) broke well and went right to the lead. But, it was a pressured lead, as South of France, F X Cat, and Tricky Deeds were all close in pursuit. As they hit the stretch, Sugaree Gold began to tire and retreated. South of France hit the front, but she had no response when Jakes Lady Luck came rolling on the outside.
