River Fancies the Meadowlands Turf

River Fancy (Congaree) was off well and went right to the front. She was able to establish a clear lead despite soft early fractions. Her closest pursuer was Mi Minnaloushe, who chased in vain. River Fancy appeared home free, but in the stretch a serious challenge emerged from Paradise Bound, who displayed a serious closing kick. However, River Fancy had enough left to hold her off, as she became Congaree's 13th winner.

Royal Vindication Takes TRAPP Mountain Over Peace Town

Uncle Gidge looked good in the post parade, but Fellow Crasher broke on top. He was soon joined by Uncle Gidge. Sitting just off of those two, in a nice spot, was Peace Town (Peace Rules). Peace Town made a move wide in the stretch and hit the lead. But, a hole opened perfectly for Royal Vindication, and he powered by. Peace Town hung tough, but he was no match for Royal Vindication, who should improve even more as the distances increase. In Speight of It (Speightstown) was never really involved and tired in the stretch.
