Back to Therapy took the early lead pursued by Georgia Song. Mullins Beach (Speightstown) secured a good position in fourth. She moved into 2nd and then took the lead in the stretch. Dash It Dreamer was closing well, but she couldn't catch Mullins Beach.

Music Swings Past Normansbirdie

Keep Running took the lead out of the gate and held it until the stretch, when she tired and finished 10th. Soca Dancer and Tiger Touch were pursuing, but it was the closers who prevailed in this one. Of these, favorite Swing Music was best, taking the win by three lengths. Finishing 2nd was 72-1 Queen Electra, while Normansbirdie (Birdstone) settled for third.

The race came off the turf, prompting the scratching of I'm Yours, Haka, Gozzip Girl, Lauren E., Quiet Wakita, Queen Caribees, Oh Yes I Pray, and Always Willing. Then, Super Child was a late scratch after dumping her rider in the post parade and running off. Maraschino Red (Medaglia d'Oro) broke well and went after the lead along with Outstanding Henny. Outstanding Henny fell back and Maraschino Red was soon overtaken by Subprime, who came rolling on the outside. Maraschino Red tired to 5th. Reforestation closed well to pick up 2nd, while Castanet was along for third.

Buttons and Bows went to the lead, setting some soft fractions (:25.21, :49.96). Legacy and Lace (Saarland) was saving ground at the rail in third or fourth. Her jockey had a strong hold on her.
