Ameribelle (Medaglia d'Oro) broke well and took a rail position behind the pace set by Oilgonewile and R Brown Sugar. Also in the mix was Hot Chili Pepper. Ameribelle swung outside and hit the lead, but Exe was coming too. Ameribelle and Exe dueled for a time, but Exe prevailed, pulling away by half of a length. Both fillies ran good races. Longshot Cumana picked up the show spot.

Red Bird Rules (Peace Rules) broke well and went right to the lead, but she let East to Eden through on the inside. Both of these began to go backwards after a half. On the turn, Samantha G came running to take the lead. However, she had to hold Perf, who was closing with a rush. Cinque Bella was the best of the rest.

Sarina's Mama took the early lead, but she was soon overtaken by Lovely Bull who was rolling on the outside. Icy Land Lady battled with Lovely Bull, but favored Lovely Bull pulled away. Birdrock (Birdstone) was wide, lost some ground on the turn, and ran evenly late to finish fourth.

My first observation about this race was that it definitely looked cold at Finger Lakes, everyone was bundled up. Princess Vicar and Indian Rush dueled early, but Princess Vicar weakened in the stretch. Saturdaynitesandy was sitting back in third, swung out and took control, winning by 3. Figlia d'Oro (Medaglia d'Oro) broke ok, but got banged around a bit after the start. She ran evenly after that to finish 5th.

Mygrandpaisadeacon flipped in the gate and was a late scratch, causing a delay in the start. Will's Honey set the early pace, stalked by Devil Me Not and My Ex. Bosco Rules broke well and secured a rail position. In the stretch, Devil Me Not took the lead. Bosco Rules looked out of it, but he responded to the whip and closed well while coming 5 wide. This was a much improved performance for Bosco Rules and I can't wait to see his next start.

Toxaway (Congaree) went after the early lead, battling with Spontaneous Diva. City Tone was up near the lead as well. Himynameissarah (Saarland) was down on the inside, in 4th.
