Melo Charges Through the Persian Line

Only one result, as Loving Roe is Easy (Peace Rules) was scratched. Her stablemate, Saratoga Lilly was also scratched, so it was probably due to the sloppy conditions at the Meadowlands.

Melo Charges Through the Persian Line

Persian (Peace Rules) came out running, going right to the lead. Dookie Duck and Charco were pressing. Persian held the lead until the stretch, when he was passed by Charco. But the real threat came from the inside, where Melo was rolling late to take the victory. Charco, Persian, and Dookie Duck fought over the minor awards, with Persian taking 3rd. It was a good return for Persian who had every chance to wilt, but hung in on the tiring muddy track. Our other runner, River Treck (Congaree) beat one to finish 6th.
