Winestone Makes it Two

Frosty Diamond (Medaglia d'Oro) was scratched at Calder, Tiger Rules (Peace Rules) was scratched at Laurel, and both of the AE horses, Tbilisi (Birdstone) and Askmethequestions (Speightstown) failed to draw into their races.

Winestone Rolls Again

Holy Okie Dokie set the early pace, with Winestone (Birdstone) following in 2nd. They soon began to separate from the rest on the sloppy Philadelphia Park track. It took awhile, but Winestone slowly and surely overtook the leader and drew off at the end. This was the 2nd win in a row for Winestone, who broke her maiden on October 11 at Philadelphia Park.

It's a Free Country Day

This one was run over sloppy conditions, but there were no scratches from the main body of the race. Country Day (Speightstown) went off as the slight favorite and headed right for the lead. He was pursued by Manito. Country Day began to tire in the stretch and Mainito inherited the lead, but he couldn't hold off Soul Warrior who was waiting just off of the pace. Going best of all, however, was Free Country, who had been near the back early on. He came running on the outside and drew clear. Izzy Ali bolted to the outside rail losing his rider. Free Country is the first winner for his sire, Big Country.

Dear Cat Splashes by Masqued Tsaar

There were a number of sloppy tracks on this day, but I think that the Meadowlands was the sloppiest. Some of the horses just didn't care for the surface, and Masquered Tsaar (Saarland) may have been one of them, as he was never involved, trailing throughout. Breaking on top in this one was Solidify, who was chased by Texas Hedge. The latter horse took over after 6 furlongs, but he couldn't hold off the rush of Dear Cat who came from off the pace to splash by the leaders.

I'm curious...Maiden Watch was tracking Gold Aly.  I have him in my DRF stable mail, but I haven't seen any works for him for a couple months.  Does anyone know if he is okay? Thanks in advance!
