Aswaaq Makes the Perfect Pitch

Aswaaq broke on top and went right for the lead, Pitched Perfectly (Pleasantly Perfect) pressed in 2nd for awhile, but then dropped back and let Cellar Dweller take over that role. Pitched Perfectly seemed a bit awkward in the stretch, but suddenly began running again. He closed well and got within a neck of Aswaaq, but couldn't pass him and settled for 2nd. Still, a much improved effort over his debut.

Ontheredeyetodubai Gets the Best of Canadian Royalty

Nopone was a late scratch. Lord of Argentum took the early advantage and built up a 4 length lead. Always close, however, was Ontheredeyetodubai, who came wide on the turn and rolled by. Intense Encounter closed well for third. Canadian Royalty (Peace Rules), who took a lot of early money at the windows, was off slow. He raced on the rail early, then swung out and closed to pick up fourth. Canadian Royalty made up ton of ground in this one (remember it was only 4.5 furlongs) and any kind of decent start next time around should yield an improved finish.
