Four Gifts Gets by C. S. Silk

C. S. Silk (Medaglia d'Oro) sat off the early pace this time, content to let Seacrettina and Smokin Again battle for supremacy. On the turn, C. S. Silk began moving and took command. Robby Albarado was riding confidently. Maybe, a little too confidently, as suddenly Four Gifts came rolling and went on by. C. S. Silk had to settle for second.

Livin Lovin (Birdstone) was scratched from the race. The Daily Racing Form is reporting that she has a small chip in her left ankle. She will have surgery and return next year.

Mimsa can't Catch the Buss

Tutu Cruiser was left at the break. Mimsa (Congaree) came out well and was with the leading group. At the head of this pack early on were Gone Cajun and Sirah Sirah. But, they both stopped and tumbled to the back. As this was happening, Catch the Buss took command. Mimsa began moving on the turn, but she couldn't sustain her bid and ended up 5th. Dubai Star and Boundless Bucks both closed late for the minor awards.

Scooby Sneaks by Christo and Clever Rules

Hemsky took the early lead, pursued by Clever Rules (Peace Rules) and Le Chat Noir. Clever Rules surged into the lead after a half, but the closers were coming. White Balance was the first to pounce, but he was soon overtaken by Scooby Dubai and Christo. Scooby Dubai and Christo fought it out to the wire, with Scooby Dubai getting the neck win. Clever Rules hung in well in 5th. Both of the Peace Rules' offspring ran well in this one and should move forward off of their efforts. Christo was claimed out of the race, we'll see if he moves up in class next time out.
