A Devil's Dream for Kelode
Moonlite Ride, Zooger, and Homecroft battled up front. Kelode (Saarland) settled near the back of the tight pack. Moonlite Ride and Zooger gave up after a half, but Homecroft went on, joined by Baton Rouge. They were passed, however, by Devil's Dream coming wide, and Prickly Pete coming up the rail. Kelode also came wide to pass a couple and finish 5th.

Restless Missile Gets a Medal Winner
Tasha's Star and Full Length Mink dueled up front. Restless Missile was just behind. She came on the outside to take the lead and drew off. Tasha's Star had to settle for 2nd, while Eru, who was blocked for most of the stretch, finally got through to take third. Medal Winner (Medaglia d'Oro) had a nightmare trip. First, she was off slow. Then, she finally got in gear, but was very wide. Finally, while making her move, she clipped heals with Shannon Sue, steadied hard and ended up 8th.
