Greer Lynn Taps a Win at Fair Grounds

True Blue Eyes broke on top, but Greer Lynn (Speightstown) went right with her. These two dueled for awhile, but True Blue Eyes soon fell back. Hightap came into the picture late to be best of the rest, but she couldn't catch Greer Lynn who drew off to a 3 length victory. Maddie's Tale, who was off slow, made up ground late to finish 3rd. Greer Lynn is the 16th winner for Speightstown.

Spider Has a Mandate to be Prolific

Spidermandate and Split the Tab battled up front early, but Spidermandate soon took control. Prolific (Medaglia d'Oro) was back in 5th, running wide. Both Prolific and Tigerglider moved up on the final turn, but they were no threat to Spidermandate who increased his lead late. Prolific flattened out a bit in the stretch and settled for third.

Spoiling My Little Sister

Black Mystic took control early, pursued by Spoilher. They were setting very soft fractions up front. My Little Sister (Saarland) was in a good spot early, but tired to last. Meanwhile up front, Spoilher surged to the lead, as Black Mystic went backwards. Bizzee Mizzee closed well, but Spoilher had plenty left after the slow fractions.

The Queen gets Sweetie, the Bird, and Hold Me Touch Me

Birdrock (Birdstone) leapt to the lead from her outside post, and was able to clear the field. However, Sweetie Bird (Birdstone) went right with her. After a half, Sweetie Bird took the lead. She seemed home free, but Millenium Queen was coming and wore down Sweetie Bird for the win. I thought Birdrock would fade to the back, but she hung in well for third. Hold Me Touch Me (Saarland) also ran a decent race. She trailed the field early, and then made a steady advance wide and finished 5th.
