A Capitol Break Too Quick for Mythical Gold

Beulah Park canceled racing for January 23, so Birdrock stayed in the barn.

The Short Version - Acronym is a Winner

Saint Cindy was sent to the lead, but favorite Third Dawn wasn't far back. Tasty Temptation (Medaglia d'Oro) secured a good spot in third. She made a bid wide, but then weakened, ending up fourth. Meanwhile up front, Third Dawn took the lead. But, Saint Cindy battled back. They were soon joined by Acronym, who flew past the both of them. Saint Cindy outfought Third Dawn for 2nd.

Other Results for January 23

Glory Gold (filly; Medaglia d'Oro - Gayla by Lord Gaylord) finished a decent 3rd in his allowance race at Aqueduct, gaining good ground late.

Cradle of Peace (gelding; Peace Rules - Cat's Cradle by Flying Paster) make a bid in the stretch in his claiming race at Laurel, but couldn't get any closer than third. Still, he is showing some consistency which is a good thing.

Dream Now's (colt; Medaglia d'Oro - Striking Distance by Blushing John) race was taken off of the turf and run on the Pro-Ride. He was off ok, and settled near the back. He began picking off horses and looked as though he may do some damage, but flattened out and finished 7th. I would say back to the turf for this one.
