A light Wednesday, with only one entry. Meanwhile, behind the scenes I am continuing to work on the 2009 Stallion pages. They should be rolled out later this week. So far, my favorite name is the Ghostzapper colt, Zapster.

Yes Zapster is a good name.  A lot of horses do seem to get landed with dreadful names don't they?  Such a shame; they deserve a good name!  For instance i do not like the names To the Mat or Miss Hanky Panky of the ones mentioned!

Saarlight is a pleasant name though!  Hope he does well seeing as Saarland has had to be retired!

God Bless

Best wishes

Abbie - There is another Saarland offspring called Saarbright. I would love to see see Saarbright and Saarlight in the same race, but as one is a colt and one a filly, it is unlikely.

Saarbright is a lovely name too!  Not sure the commentators or punters would want them in the same race though as they'd be getting them confused!!!

Still it might happen. Fillies do run up against and beat the colts but I will not name either of my two favourites who did it, one just the once, and the other who made a habit of it(!)again!!!!  Well not today anyway!!!!

God Bless

Best wishes
