Truffula Has Peace With Her

Don't Like to Fly set the early pace, prompted by Sig's Happy Dancer and Miz Wham. Favorite Who Plays Brahms was stalking the top ones. Don't Like to Fly faded after 6 furlongs, leaving the lead to Who Plays Brahms and Sig's Happy Dancer. But, Truffula, who was near the back early, got going late and flew by them all. Peace Be With You (Peace Rules) was bumped at the start, but secured a good spot. She didn't have much punch in the stretch, however, and finished 7th. Interestingly, Truffula's "twin" Tiznula was eased for an official 9th (last) place finish.

But, Cry Cry Cry, who had been stalking the top 2, came rolling outside to grab the advantage. Bear's Marie had no answer for Cry Cry Cry, but she was almost 10 lengths clear of the third-place finisher.

Wise Kid has Unlimited Capitol

Good Sermon bobbled at the start, but still sprang to the lead. He built up a long lead (7 lengths), but was setting some fast fractions. In the stretch, the field began to catch up with him. Moving best of these was Wise Kid, who wore down the leader, despite lugging in. Good Sermon showed some heart, holding the rest of the field at bay. Capitol Limited (Saarland) raced wide in mid-pack early, but was empty in the drive.
