Whistling By
Frolic's Dream set the early pace. C. S. Silk (Medaglia d'Oro) was off a beat slow, but then rushed up to join the leader. Justwhistledixie was chasing the pace on the outside. C. S. Silk began to falter after a half, and ended up fifth. At that point, Justhistledixie made her move, pulling away to win by better than 3. Renda (Medaglia d'Oro) made a bit of a move, but flattened out and finished 4th. Shared Account (Pleasantly Perfect) stumbled at the start and never really got involved, finishing 6th. Hard to believe that we had three horses in a 7 horse race, and could only manage a fourth, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Winning the Battle of Hastings
Luckiest Man set the pace, pursued by Flashmans Papers and an extremely rank Brother Keith. Dream Now (Medaglia d'Oro) was sitting in a good spot in 5th. In the stretch, a number of horses came on the outside including Dream Now and Beauteous Maximus. But, Battle of Hastings was going best of all, as he outfinished Flashmans Papers. By the way, he's not my horse and nobody asked for my opinion, but Brother Keith would seem to be ripe for gelding.

Lisa B Comes Flying Over Crema
Boca Belle and Bea Bet dueled for most of the race, but they had to settle for 2nd and 3rd. As Lisa B, who wasn't in the picture for much of the race, did her best imitation of big brother Evening Attire, flying by the field to win easily. Crema d'Oro (Medaglia d'Oro) was near the front early on, but tired and finished 7th. She probably needed the race after the long layoff.

Nemo Lands a Summer Bird
Ready to Romp leapt from the gate and built a clear lead. He faded after a half, leading the lead to Nemo Landing. Classical Closing and Bergman both tried late, but Nemo Landing held them off. Summer Bird (Birdstone) was off slow, near the back early, came rolling 6-wide and was steadily gaining on the field. He finished 4th this race, but watch for him next time out. By the way, Aquinas and Agnostic finished 7th and 8th.
