Lucy Maxed by Frisco Jag

Simply Dazzling and Trix Is Good dueled through the first half of the race. In the stretch, Simply Dazzling surged clear, as Trix Is Good weakened. However, Frisco Jag, who was about mid-pack early on, was making her move. She came between horses, caught Simply Dazzling and drew clear. Favored Lucy to the Max (Birdstone) was off slowly and raced wide. She slowly but surely made up ground, but couldn't overtake the top 2. She was, however, just a head behind Simple Dazzling. More distance?
