He most recently worked 4 furlongs from the gate at the Churchill Downs Training Center on April 7 in :49.60. Scottkeith'skitten was foaled on March 8, 2007.

The only colt with experience is Even Wilder (Even the Score - Wild Alizone by Wild Zone), who was 4th at Keeneland on April 3, behind Jealous Again and Cater to Kitten (Kitten's Joy). Even Wilder is the first foal out of the placed mare Wild Alizone. Wild Alizone is a half-sister to 2 winners.

Gordon Bennett (Proud Accolade - Tactfully by Tactical Advantage) is the first runner for his sire, Proud Accolade. Proud Accolade won his first 3 starts at 2, including the Champagne Stakes (gr. I). Top seller in the race is Mission Impazible (Unbridled's Song - La Paz by Hold Your Peace), who brought $200,000 as a yearling. He is out of stakes winner La Paz, who won 4 straight races at 2 (including her debut), and finished 2nd in her only other start that year.

Check Lineage has produced 5 winners, including stakes-placed Potomac City. Two of Billet's siblings were debut winners at 2.

More 2-year olds at Keeneland

Two-year olds are also in action in the first race at Keeneland (1:05 PM ET). No Maiden Watch horses in this one, but first-crop sire Limestone has his first runner in Bigshot (colt; Limehouse - Regal Snicker by Regal Classic), and there is a Peace Rules' 2-year old in the race, Honor in Peace (colt; Peace Rules - Jeanne's Honor by Honour and Glory). Making their second starts are Dream Victory (colt; Victory Gallop - Dreaming Time by Green Dancer) and Ride Cowboy Ride (colt; Posse - Colleague by Cherokee Run), who finished 9th and 10th in Cater to Kitten's debut on April 3 at Keeneland. That race was won by Jealous Again.

Returning Workers

April 15

Lisa's Kitten (filly; Kitten's Joy - Chianti Red by Woodman) worked 4 furlongs at the Churchill Training Center, recording a time of :49.00.

Also working 4 furlongs at the Churchill Training Center in :49.00 was Keith's Kitten (filly; Kitten's Joy - Silent Emotion by Ghazi) (hmmm... do you think that they worked together?).

Results for April 15

Original Ink (colt; Speightstown - Red n'Gold by Tabasco Cat) led all the way in this one, to pick up his maiden win at 25-1 under Edgar Prado at Keeneland. The big question is how this horse went off at those odds with Prado in the saddle. The bigger question is how could I have missed betting the race to go to a meeting (but arrived back at my desk just in time to see the outcome)? Watch the Replay.

D'oro Diablo (colt; Medaglia d'Oro - Dancehall Floozy by Paramount Jet) also went right to the lead in his race at Keeneland, but was under pressure throughout and couldn't hold on. He did, however, keep the the third spot. He also had Prado in the irons, but went off as the favorite. Watch the Replay.

Naughtiest (filly; Congaree - Haughty by Halo) finished last in her debut on the Gulfstream Park turf, after rating off the pace early. Watch the Replay.

Entries April 16

Masqued Tsaar (colt; Saarland - Masquerade Star by Stalwart) tries the Atlantic City turf, facing 11 at a mile and 40 yards in race 1. He'll break from post 7 in this Maiden Special Weight scheduled for 3:30 PM ET.

Artisan (filly; Smarty Jones - Alchemilla by Deputy Minister) faces 11 in a 7 furlong Maiden Special contest at Keeneland, race 6. She'll break from post 10 at approximately 3:35 PM ET. Artisan has made 2 starts, both at Gulfstream Park. She was 8th while running 6 furlongs on February 1, and 9th on March 8 at 7 furlongs.
