Giving Advice to Pitched Perfectly and Jeranimo

Pitched Perfectly (Pleasantly Perfect) did his part. He went to the lead and set fairly comfortable fractions. But, he couldn't hold off the closers. Square Eddie made a big move 6-wide and put Pitched Perfectly into 2nd. He weakened late to finish 5th. Meanwhile, Square Eddie was also overtaken, by longshots Advice and Conservative. Advice was moving the best of these, getting up for the win. Jeranimo (Congaree) was back early, moved up, but lacked room. When he did get free, he didn't have much punch, finishing 6th. Watch the Replay.

Gold d'Oro (filly; Medaglia d'Oro - Gold Canyon by Mr. Prospector) lost a heartbreaker at Keeneland. She was in a good position early, and then came five wide. It seemed as though she would fly by La Rocca, but that one hung tough. They were head and head at the wire, separated by the smallest of noses. No disgrace in finishing 2nd in this one. Watch the Replay.

Speight the Halo (colt; Speightstown - Ballado's Halo by Saint Ballado) had a good return to the races in his Maiden Special Weight at Santa Anita. He stalked the early pace, and looked as though he would go by the leader in the stretch. But, he weakened late to finish 3rd. Watch the Replay.

Saarlandisourland (filly; Saarland - Crypto Kate by Tabasco Cat) loomed on the outside in her Maiden Special Weight at Aqueduct, but tired and finished 6th. Watch the Replay.

Wood Violet (filly; Congaree - Nani Rose by Peteski) wasn't much of a threat, racing wide and finishing 9th. Hug It Out (filly; Medaglia d'Oro - Dazzling Contrast by General Meeting) was scratched. Watch the Replay.

Outta Speight (colt; Speightstown - Winter Garden by Roy) was just off the pace and then made a run at the leaders, finishing third in his Maiden Special Weight Contest at Lone Star Park. He was no threat to the top 2, but was well clear of the rest of the pack.
