Dream Now (Medaglia d'Oro - Striking Distance by Blushing John) returns after finishing 4th last time out, in the 6.5 furlong Baldwin Stakes on the Santa Anita downhill course. He's had 4 Santa Anita works since then. Dream Now broke his maiden in his only other turf start, on the Santa Anita downhill course on January 1. He also finished 6th and 7th in two synthetic surface starts (one at Hollywood and one at Santa Anita).
Third in the Baldwin Stakes was Luckiest Man (Grand Slam - Performing Arts (IRE) by The Minstrel), who led that race until late. Since then, he was 5th in a mile turf race at Santa Anita on March 25. His maiden victory came at 6.5 furlongs on Santa Anita Pro-Ride. He's had two Santa Anita works since his last race.
Backbackbackgone (Put It Back - Pat's Sister by Defrere) has won 4 out of 6 starts, including victories in the Willard L. Proctor Memorial Stakes, the Jack Goodman Stakes, and the Golden Bear Stakes. He also finished 5th in the Hollywood Prevue (gr. III). His most recent race was on January 24, where he finished 10th in the Sunshine Millions Dash. This would be his first start on turf. He has recorded 5 works since the Sunshine Millions, including one on turf.
The only other horse with stakes experience is Wall Street Wonder (City Place - Kisses and Hugs by Kissin Kris). After breaking his maiden by 5 on the Santa Anita Pro-Ride on January 24, he finished 4th in the San Vicente (gr. II) on that same surface on February 16. Switched to the turf, he finished 3rd in the Pasadena Stakes and 3rd in the La Puente Stakes. Both races were at a mile on the Santa Anita turf.
Mi Forest Amor (Forestry - Frolic Away by Pentelicus) finished 3rd in Dream Now's maiden win after setting the pace. In Mi Forest Amor's next start, at 6.5 furlongs on the Santa Anita turf on February 20, he led all the way to get his maiden victory. In his most recent start, he finished 6th in a mile turf Allowance race at Santa Anita on March 25. He's had a couple of works since then, including one on the turf.
Position A (Aldebaran - Propriety by Storm Cat) broke his maiden in his 2nd start, a 6 furlong race on the Cushion track at Hollywood Park on December 6. In that race, he hung on by a nose to get the win. He then ran in 2 Allowance races at Santa Anita, finishing 4th at 6.5 furlongs on the Pro-Ride on December 28, and 2nd in a 6.5 furlong turf race on March 29. Position A has worked twice since his last start.

Special Weight. Post time is 3:05 PM ET. Double Espresso sold for
$160,000 as a yearling, and is a half-sister to one winner.
Perfectly Campbell (filly; Pleasantly Perfect -
Angel's Tearlet by Silver Deputy), who broke her maiden at big odds at
Keeneland on April 9, faces winners for the first time in a mile and an
eighth turf Allowance race at that same track. Carded as race 6, this
one has a post time of 3:35 PM ET. This will be Perfectly Campbell's
first turf start.
Debuting in race 7 at Gulfstream Park is Ballado's Image
(colt; Pleasantly Perfect - St Ballado's Image by Saint Ballado). This
6 furlong race has a post time of 4:12 PM ET. He is the first foal out
of the winning mare St Ballado's Image. St Ballado's Image is a
half-sister to grade III winner Halo's Image.
Sweeterthantheday (filly; Medaglia d'Oro - Ice
Cream Cone by Seeking the Gold) debuts in a 6 furlong Maiden Special
Weight race at Hollywood Park, race 2. Post time is 4:30 PM ET in this
5 horse field. Sweeterthantheday sold for $190,000 as a 2-year old, and
is out of the winning mare Ice Cream Cone. Ice Cream Cone has produced
three winners from 3 to run, including one debut winner.
Pina Colada (filly; Speightstown - Foolishly by
Broad Brush) faces 11 in a 6 furlongs Maiden Special Weight at
Gulfstream, race 9. She'll break from post 8 at approximately 5:05 PM
ET. Pina Colada has run once in her career, finishing 7th at 6 furlongs
at Gulfstrream Park on March 22.
Danceyoursocksoff (filly; Pleasantly Perfect - Come
Dancing by Two Punch) makes her 2009 debut, in a full field on the
Gulfstream Park turf, race 9. Post time is 5:14 PM ET for this mile and
a sixteenth contest. Danceyoursocksoff ran three times at 2, her best
finish was 4th. This will be her first turf start.

Wiggle and a Wink (filly; Congaree - Friendofthefamily by Wild Rush) made a move on the turn to get the lead in her Maiden Special Weight at Woodbine, but she couldn't hold it and finished 2nd.
