Backbackbackgone Dreaming Now

Dream Now (Medaglia d'Oro) was off slow and settled near the back of the pack. Up front, the two favorites, Backbackbackgone and Wall Street Wonder were dueling. In the stretch, Backbackbackgone pulled away, as Wall Street Wonder drifted. The pack began to close, led by Position A. Dream Now seemed poised to make a big move on the outside, but flattened out a bit late. He settled for 4th. Backbackbackgone was the clear winner, but there wasn't much separating 2nd from 5th. This was Dream Now's first race since the ultimate equipment change, gelding.

Danceyoursocksoff (filly; Pleasantly Perfect - Come Dancing by Two Punch) pressed the early pace in her Maiden Special Weight on the turf at Gulfstream. She then moved even with the pacesetter, but tired late to finish 6th. Watch the Replay.

Ballado's Image (colt; Pleasantly Perfect - St Ballado's Image by Saint Ballado) broke slowly and just galloped around, finishing 9th in his debut at Gulfstream Park. Watch the Replay.

Although it was at the Maiden Claiming level, mention should be made of Footcandles (colt; Speightown - Show Me the Stage by Slew the Surgeon) winning by better than 9 at Tampa Bay Downs.
